Mallory & Arkin

Have your ever wondered what the human embodiment of excitement & curiosity with a dash of adventure would look like? I can tell you. It looks just like Arkin. A curious mind with eyes that can find adventure in every single crevice of his surroundings.

This session was just stunning. It started out with Arkin playing with his friend and Mallory melting over the unplanned yet perfectly matching outfits. They ran around turning the conservation into a natural playground.

When I look at Mallory, I see how beautiful & intense her love for Arkin really is. It runs so deep you can see it flowing from her arms with every swoop of Arkin. You can see it shining through the strands of her hair as they spin around and laugh together. It’s in the way she runs after him no matter where he’s going, and it’s left in every single footprint she leaves.

After playing, Arkin was ready to get down to business. The smiles, the patty cake, the giggles. It was all being written by him. We made memories in the golden fields until they nearly became dark ones. I watched as his Momma gently tossed him and smiled when he smiled. I watched as they ran throughout the fields, tired and breathless but so full of joy & peace.

It was time to take that peace home as the sky grew darker. So we parted ways and this is the magic that came from those moments.
